From the 20th to the 23rd of September 2007, the 1. International Discus Championship, which was taking place durung the Sizoo, received an audience of more than 50 thousand visitors from all over the world. The Discus Show was organized by Heiko Bleher, world famous discus specialist, and Ángel Canovas, the editor of the most popular aquarium magazine of Spain, also with active support of the Directory of the Fira de Barcelona and members of the Aquaristik Association of Barcelona.

From the 20th to the 23rd of September 2007, the 1. International Discus Championship, which was taking place durung the Sizoo, received an audience of more than 50 thousand visitors from all over the world. The Discus Show was organized by Heiko Bleher, world famous discus specialist, and Ángel Canovas, the editor of the most popular aquarium magazine of Spain, also with active support of the Directory of the Fira de Barcelona and members of the Aquaristik Association of Barcelona.
The unique architectual complex of the Fira de Barcelona – Montjuïc Exhibition Centre, which numerous pavilions were built especially for the fairs purpouse in the the beginning of the 20. century
The fair were taking place in 2 pavilions: the “Sizoo” –hall for professionals and specialists,
and Mascota – hall for public
The 1. Discus Championship featured over 50 beautiful and unique specimens
Each participant could present a maximum of 4 discus fishes

The BEAM, Barcelona European Aquarium Meeting, which also took place in this days during the exposition and was dedicated to sea and fresh water aquariophilia, attracted a big audience and featured conferences by prestigious experts, such as Heiko Bleher, Jack Wattley, Claus Christensen, Svein Fossa, Emilio Cortés, Ron Shimek and Julian Sprung
