Nagoya – Japan, 9 September, 2010
Heiko Bleher was invited for a 3-day-seminar in Japan September 2010 and also to visit one of the largest pet stores in Nagoya. This pet store is a world on its own, the variety of species available in the store is almost unbelievable – this is a place for every animal-lover …
The entrance to PetCity is like the entrance to a shopping mall (and it is located in a shopping mall…).
Within this PetCity shopping mall are different pet stores, like this one here is only for reptiles, amphibian, insects and mammals where one can even find wallabies for over 2700 Euros or more than 3600 US Dollars … The white swan was already in the next store, only for birds …
The ornamental fish store was another amazing sight. Here one can find the rarest catfishes – hardly found in any other aquarium shop outside of Japan – including the Hypancistrus zebra for 270 Euros.
… and besides all those rare one can even find just newly born giant catfishes …
They sell also beautifully packed cones for catfishes to spawn in, a very small section is dedicated to ADA, and the gigantic rooftop is the largest parking area I have ever seen on the top of a high riser … and the manager and his right hand wanted a photo.
