Italy – Naples – 24-26 September 2010
The first International Aquatic and Discus Fair took place in Naples, Italy from 24-26 September on more than 3000 sqm in one of Italy’s the largest shopping centre, Jambo1. This fair was the largest Aquatic fair and Championship ever hold in Italy. The exhibition held in an area of 3000 sqm at the Jambo1 Shopping Centre in Naples, a prime location and 35,000 visitors attended the show, championships and conferences during 3 days. There were nearly 50 stands of breeders, manufactures, distributors, producers, publishers and pet shops offering everything around the most beautiful hobby in the world: the Aquarium. Also Aquapress-Italy had a stand. Christian Pedone & Rosario Curcio have organized a fabulous exhibition with the help of 40 staff. This was an event not to be missed by anyone and those who did not come should definitely come to NapoliAquatica 2011 – soon to be announced. Below some photos of NapoliAquatica 2010:
The sister of the organizer Christian Pedone, Alessandra, is not only a beautiful girl, but also a very famous Italian ceramic artist. She designs all of her ceramics herself and makes them herself in a small town in the hills of Naples called Crete. Alessandra made an incredible selection of ceramics for the NapoliAquatica 2010, also for the International Discus Championships which took place at the same time – including fantastic trophies. She also had a stand at NapoliAquatica 2010.
Aquapress Publishers Italy had also a stand and presented next to many other publications and t-shirts of limited edition also their new publication the DISCUANNUAL10 (in Italian language) and DISCUSBOOK01 (in English language). And the Aquapress stand was save guarded by beautiful girls from Naples…
Livia decorated very nice nature biotope aquariums – according to Heiko’s designs? … But also others, like TF Italian Aquarium Plants decorated beautiful nature habitats …
The company Amazzonia from Italy while building their stand and once the exhibition was open – thousands from all over Italy, Europe and Asia came to see this unique show – the first ever in Italy of its kind …
… also Italy’s famous AQUARISTICA came, Acqua Living with their LED-lamps and Mondo Sommerso …
… Carmelo Aricó, the well know Italian Discus breeder par excellence, showed some of his beautiful, almost original Red Turquoise discus …
… and from Germany came the owner of DISCUSFOOD, who had a very large stand with hundreds of Asian Discus he imported just for this exhibition (and lots of Italian food …)…
… and Rosario Curcio on his www.mondoduscus.com stand was not only placing every single happening of the NapoliAquatica into the worldwide web immediately with his many computers, but also had a special delivery of home baked bread, hand made cheese and salami from Sicily …
35,000 visitors came in those 3 days – almost more than to any other similar event ever happened in Europe – to look at all the 50 stands, and the 150 Discus in competition. Christian Pedone on Saturday night invited all the VIPs from around the world, who participated, to Antonio & Antonio, one of the best restaurants in Naples right across the amazing old castle, to eat Italy’s best and original Pizza – as Naples is its birth place …
… and last but not least, a fantastic group of Italian Discus lovers, who appreciate Heiko’s work wanted photos with him. If anyone wants to see more have a look at wwwmondodiscus.com
